Apple varieties for picking NOW

Apple season in Northern Indiana runs from late July  through early November -  depending on the weather, of course.
Each variety has a "best time" for ripeness and picking.  Use this page to discover what is currently ripe and being picked at Craft Orchard!

PAULA RED

An early season apple,  great fresh and for applesauce without sugar!  Picking late August.

SMOOTHEES

This mid-season apple just doesn't seem to quit. The trees must know this a favorite here!  Most have been picked or fallen,  but there are some still on the trees if you want to rush out for them.   Check in mid September

GOLD RUSH

An excellent "keeper" apple,  this gold apple with a slight blush is very crisp and tart.  Good eaten fresh and for cooking and baking.
